theodor

Theodor Optical finds its expression in a fluid, rounded silhouette and the quiet precision of its details. A sculpted bridge connects the lenses, while slender temples carry the line gently beyond the face.

There is a familiar, scholarly character to the shape—reimagined through clean contours and subtle colour. A companion to the everyday pleasure of looking closely.

Italian M49 bioacetate by Mazzucchelli 1849 gives Theodor Optical its polished lustre and depth of colour. In translucent finishes, light reveals the metal cores within the temples, making the construction part of the frame’s expression.

Made with wood-derived cellulose and a plant-based plasticiser, M49 reduces reliance on fossil-derived ingredients while preserving the strength and rich colour of traditional acetate.

Complete your frame with ZEISS prescription lenses, with clear or light-adaptive options tailored to your vision and daily life.

A rounded silhouette with a gently defined brow, a keyhole bridge and slender temples. Theodor Optical’s curved outline brings softness to angular features, while its considered proportions keep the eyes at the centre of the frame.

Discreet rivets and gently tapered temples complete its classic profile.
