Milada

Named for Milada Müller, who lived with her husband František in the Prague villa designed by Adolf Loos, Milada continues ALOOS’s dialogue with architecture and the lives within it.

Sweeping lines meet a sculpted profile. Its cat-eye silhouette recalls the elegance of another era, brought into the present through expressive colour and considered proportions. A familiar gesture with a distinct point of view.

Crafted from Italian M49 bioacetate by Mazzucchelli 1849, Milada’s sculpted contours reveal the material’s rich colour and polished lustre—from the warm depth of tortoiseshell to translucent red and deep black.

Made with wood-derived cellulose and a plant-based plasticiser, M49 reduces reliance on fossil-derived ingredients while retaining the strength and beauty of traditional acetate. Material innovation, expressed through an enduring shape.

ZEISS lenses complete the frame, with a choice of sun, polarised or light-adaptive options—chosen for the light you live in.

A sculpted cat-eye frame with lifted outer corners and softly rounded lenses. Milada’s pronounced upper line draws attention to the eyes, bringing definition and a sense of lift to the face. Substantial contours give the silhouette presence, balanced by the gentle curves below.

Nominal measurements: 51 mm lens · 24 mm bridge · 140 mm temples.
