A Fateful Encounter in Traffic

That day, in the midst of traffic, something extraordinary happened. It was a day when our minds were consumed with finding all the negativity around us: the traffic, the insecurity, the lack of opportunities. However, at that moment, Edu looked at me and said, "Let's get married and move to Los Cabos." Instinctively, I responded with an emphatic "yes."

The Distant Echo of a Pandemic

And so began the process of planning our wedding, a magical day on January 25, 2020. This day marked the transition from a pre-pandemic world to the explosion of COVID-19. Edu and I decided to embark on our honeymoon in Europe, longing to experience the cold before arriving at the paradise that awaited us on that island. At that time, the word "pandemic" sounded like a distant echo in the soft murmurs of restaurants and cafes, but it seemed far away in China, and we believed it wouldn't affect us.

From Venice, we flew to Madrid, and from there, we made a brief stop in the city we had always called home. Now, this city had become a transit point on our way to our new home, what I call our little paradise island.

A Deep Connection

During one of our deep and endless conversations amid the lockdown due to the pandemic, we felt a strong intuition and passion to create something special. Our hearts drove us to fully express our creative and passionate mission in the world of aesthetics. From an early age, we both knew we belonged to this world: Edu as an architect and me as a fashion designer. We envisioned our lives immersed in what we were most passionate about, and every idea and outcome led us to design, create concepts, and build a universe filled with beauty and purpose.

The Birth of Aloos

And thus, our journey commenced with a clear vision and an unwavering intention to create something infused with design, purpose, and boundless passion. Following numerous entrepreneurial ventures, we found ourselves at the doorstep of Aloos, and I can assure you, it was no mere happenstance.

There comes a point in life when you realize that to understand what you can truly offer to the world, you must become an attentive listener. Edu had long been recognized for his impeccable taste in eyewear, an accessory that not only enhanced his appearance but also bestowed upon him a profound sense of confidence and empowerment.

A month later, in a remarkable twist of synchronicity, Edu had the chance to meet Chase Fisher, the visionary founder of Blender, an eyewear brand. It was an unmistakable sign that we were following the right path, and with this fortuitous encounter, our exhilarating journey into this captivating world commenced, giving birth to Aloos Eyewear.

Our inspiration stemmed from the architectural genius of Adolf Loos, a trailblazer in modern architecture who championed functionalism, crafting buildings with pure, economically practical, and utilitarian forms. With a clear vision in mind, our goal was straightforward: to create fashion sustainable, chic, and top-quality eyewear.

This essence is vividly mirrored in Aloos, characterized by its sleek, timeless, and iconic designs, all infused with an authenticity that I contributed as a fashion designer. I harnessed the power of shape as a tool for genuine self-expression, ultimately shaping the identity of our brand.

Discovering the Power of Eyewear

In conclusion, Aloos transcends being just a brand; it serves as a platform through which we have had the privilege of showcasing the extraordinary and enchanting beauty of Baja. It is where we wholeheartedly pursue our profound passion: crafting designs and products with an unswerving dedication to sustainability and the highest echelons of quality.

Offering a glimpse into our lifestyle via Aloos fills us with boundless joy and gratitude. Our odyssey initially unfolded amidst the tumultuous currents of traffic, ultimately leading us to birth Aloos—a brand that seamlessly merges functionality and aesthetics, drawing inspiration from modern architecture and the genuine essence of fashion design.

As we continue on this exciting journey, we are thrilled to share every step with each and every one of you.

Why Sustainable Eyewear Matters

In today's sustainability-driven world, even seemingly small choices matter. Traditional eyewear production, reliant on petroleum-based plastics, energy-intensive processes, and significant waste generation, has a significant environmental impact. In contrast, bioacetate eyewear offers a sustainable alternative. Made from renewable resources, it's biodegradable, reducing plastic pollution and lowering carbon emissions. Brands producing bioacetate eyewear also prioritize ethical sourcing and minimal waste. By choosing bioacetate eyewear, you support sustainability, reduce pollution, and contribute to a cleaner, greener future.
